What is the restoration benefit in health insurance?

In shortA restoration benefit refills your sum insured, once or more in a policy year, after you use it up. It helps most on a family floater, where one big claim can leave little for everyone else.

Conditions vary: some plans restore only for a different illness, some only once a year, some only when the cover is fully used. The refilled amount can’t be carried into the next year.
